A series of paintings with organic forms that are at once an apology to diversity and a declaration of freedom to enjoy female sexual pleasure as opposed to patriarchal control.

These are forms that represent the chemical elements essential to human health. In the midst of the pandemic, health concerns completely changed the way we live and relate to one another.

Reenchanting the World

Drawings, paintings and an installation based on the conclusions reached by the archaeologist Marija Gimbutas on Neolithic Europe. A camera encourages spectators to discuss the reliefs on a dolmen.

A series of paintings on handwoven palm mats (petates). Serpent-being (Ser-Cóatl) is derived from the Spanish ser, which means “being” and cóatl, which means serpent in Náhuatl. Evocations of the snake goddess were of as much significance in Mesoamerica as they were in Neolithic Europe.

I did this series of drawings at the beginning of the pandemic to disseminate the work of the historian Gerda Lerner. The drawings accompany extracts of the original text.

Series of classic black and white painted images intervened with a circular fragment of publicity, which updates said painting.
